JJ Luna's personal privacy blog. In 1959 he moved to Spain's Canary Islands to begin a then-illegal educational work that included secret meetings in remote mountain forests. Although pursued by General Franco's Secret Police, he maintained his privacy via a false identity and was never caught. When the Spanish dictator moderated Spain’s harsh laws in 1970, Luna was free to come in from the cold. However, he remains in the shadows to this day. He is currently an international privacy consultant.

Help wanted for a new book title
No matter what title I come up with, the publisher will change it. Nevertheless, I need a catchy title in order to hook an agent, and he in turns needs such a title to hook an editor.
The book will bear a vague resemblance to the bestseller "How to Survive the End of the World as We Know It" but will just consider short-term dangers, especially as regards keeping a low profile. Perhaps how to prepare for:
..... A serious financial meltdown
..... A biblical storm such as Katrina
..... A power outage that lasts for month or more
..... A national airport shutdown such as on 9/11/2001
..... A terrorist attack causing a mass exodus from the cities
One title I've considered is Why to Become Invisible Before Disaster Strikes but there must be better ones out there. If you think you have the answer, please send it to my new forum.

Hi J.J.,
ReplyDeleteI like the title How to Be Invisible because it clearly states the end result of what the reader will learn and gain.
When I came up for the name of my blog, I didnt want it to be just how to survive a stalker or psychopath, but how to flourish, prosper, etc.. all the adjectives that would describe success. And what you need to get there. Thus, The Upper Hand was created.
So for what you are trying to achieve, maybe if you can start the title along the same theme... How to... but add what the adjective would be as a result of reading your book. All the armegeddon stuff, survival, etc. just makes me picture someone only surviving and getting by on the minimum, no more.
Good luck, you always come up with great stories and topics. Much to be admired,
